Risk Analyst—Proficient
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (Days onsite, with Wednesday being mandatory)
Contract Length: 12 months.
Our client is the Canadian gold standard in the Financial Services Industry. We at Raise are hiring a Risk Analyst- Proficient one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations to enable supplier governance and oversight activities throughout the third-party lifecycle using various tools and applications to support adherence to Third-party risk monitoring activities.
- Provide advisory support to key stakeholders in the Risk Assessment process, which may include clarification on communications on change management activities supporting the rollout of enterprise policies and standards, processes, and tools.
- Identify process gaps and make recommendations for driving efficiencies and improvements within the Functions Supplier Management program and integration initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvements to ensure operational excellence, including maintenance, quality control, gap analysis, and opportunity for improvement of processes and procedures.
- Develop, build, and manage effective relationships across Functions and other Banking Business Platforms, including procurement, supplier management offices, and centers of governance.
- Resolve operational issues, risks, and conflicts; work in collaboration with the key stakeholders, escalating where required
Must-have:
- 3+ years of experience in Third-Party Risk Monitoring.
- Professionally accredited certifications in risk management are required, rather than online certificates from platforms like Coursera, etc.
- Ability to effectively articulate and apply transferable skills to risk management functions.
- Strong compliance, regulatory, and operational risk knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven customer service abilities
- Solid understanding of risk policies, procedures, and frameworks
- Ability to reassess and evaluate risk based on changing conditions
Nice-to-have:
- Business Administration degree and risk certification
- Experience in contract structuring and negotiation
