Does Raise post “fake” or “ghost” jobs?

No!

The majority of our job postings are for current contract positions that we are immediately hiring for on behalf of our many clients.

We will occasionally post what are called “Expressions of Interest” (EOI) jobs. These are for clients with ongoing needs for certain jobs that they regularly hire for (like assembly workers in a manufacturing plant). These postings will usually stay up for long periods of time—and in the unlikely case there isn’t an opening available right away, qualified candidates will be contacted when the next role opens up.

Will Raise ask me for personal or sensitive information?

Raise will never ask for personal or sensitive information unless it is required by our clients AND you are being offered a job.

Sometimes our clients will require social security/insurance numbers in order to verify the identity and work eligibility of candidates, but this will only happen to verify candidates prior to a job offer.

Bad actors may try to impersonate Raise job ads or recruiters—here’s how to protect yourself from potential job scammers:

  1. If you are ever unsure about the legitimacy of a job ad, email hello@raiserecruiting.com any time—they’re happy to help!
  2. Raise will NEVER ask you for payment of any kind
  3. You can check our LinkedIn page here to verify if a recruiter works with us

If you’ve come in contact with people or content that is trying to impersonate Raise, you can learn more here, or report it to fraudprevention@raiserecruiting.com

What do legitimate communications look like?

Raise emails will usually look something like this, and will often have links to the recruiter’s LinkedIn—if you’re ever not sure, ask!
