Accounts Payable Analyst
- Pay Rate: $40.70/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 12 months with a high possibility of extension
- Location: Must live in the general area of Plantation, FL or San Jose, CA (Remote)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The day-to-day tasks for the AP Analyst role include invoice vouchering, vendor statement reconciliation, and collaborating with appropriate departments to ensure compliance on process and approval of all spend on multiple Legal Entities within the NORAM DIS organization.
- Unlike a traditional AP role, this position sits in a small department handling internal escalations from other teams rather than just entering invoices all day.
Responsibilities
- Voucher high volume of AP invoices in Oracle under multiple scenarios (e.g., 2-way, 3-way POs, and without POs).
- File AP documentation and statements in a Shared Drive.
- Work with colleagues to assign GL coding where applicable.
- Research vendor statements and queries.
- Review all invoices for correct approval per company policy.
- Work with appropriate colleagues to push for receiving approval on open invoices.
- Maintain Outlook inbox and keep it current.
- Deal with escalations confidently and patiently, particularly when working with and explaining needs to an overseas team.
Qualifications
- 2-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience and education. Experience in Finance is preferred.
- 5+ years of specific Oracle AP data entry experience with a strong history in accounts payable at the corporate level. (Note: Bookkeepers are not a right fit for this position; it requires a career AP professional with corporate/global company experience).
- Deep knowledge of Oracle ERP (a must) and Intermediate Excel skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Teams.
Core Competencies
- Excellent experience with two- and three-way matching POs; basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles,
- Ability to calculate figures (discounts, interest, percentages, etc.) and strong problem-solving skills for handling variables with limited standardization.
- Personable, professional, patient, and highly organized.
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal) and possess a "can-do" attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
