Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the full delivery lifecycle for application modernization, cloud migration, containerization, and platform transition initiatives.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, migration waves, milestones, dependencies, access plans, onboarding plans, environment readiness trackers, and release roadmaps.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, quality, change control, delivery velocity, and release commitments.
  • Coordinate architecture, migration engineering, QA, DevOps, security, operations, vendor, offshore, and client teams across multiple delivery pods.
  • Drive cutover readiness, stabilization, documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition-to-operations activities.

2. Scrum and Agile Delivery Support

  • Apply Scrum practices to support sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Use JIRA to coordinate work, track progress, assign tasks, manage blockers, support escalation paths, and report delivery status.
  • Align Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical leads, architects, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders on priorities, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Track sprint, release, and wave progress using Agile metrics, dashboards, dependency reporting, and milestone readiness indicators.

3. Governance, Reporting, and Delivery Control

  • Establish the project governance model, delivery cadence, decision framework, escalation path, and client-facing status rhythm.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting covering progress, risks, financials, dependencies, testing status, security remediation, onboarding readiness, and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate governance reviews, delivery checkpoints, Scrum-of-Scrums, release readiness reviews, cutover forums, and operational readiness meetings.
  • Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, decision records, action registers, wave plans, runbooks, acceptance criteria, and handover artifacts.

4. Technical Readiness and Quality Oversight

  • Validate readiness across access, VPN, environments, source code, interfaces, documentation, architecture, security, testing, and cutover planning.
  • Support functional equivalence validation, regression readiness, API and smoke testing, security remediation tracking, performance considerations, monitoring, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure testing, defect triage, remediation, release readiness, and transition activities are visible, tracked, and escalated when needed.

Must-Have Skills:

Project Management and Delivery

  • Proven experience managing complex IT application modernization, cloud migration, infrastructure transformation, or consulting engagements.
  • Strong understanding of the application modernization lifecycle, from assessment and planning through migration, deployment, and operational transition.
  • Strong experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, financials, governance, reporting, change control, and stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional onsite, offshore, vendor, and client teams in accelerated delivery environments.
  • Experience driving onboarding, access provisioning, environment readiness, dependency management, release planning, cutover preparation, knowledge transfer, and operational handover.
  • Knowledge of modernizing applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and containerized platforms, including deployment and orchestration with Helm.
  • Solid understanding of platform upgrades, security fundamentals, vulnerability remediation, and patch management practices to minimize operational and security risks.

Scrum and Agile Practices

  • Practical experience working with Scrum teams, Agile delivery models, JIRA workflows, and hybrid governance structures.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum roles, ceremonies, artifacts, backlog management, sprint execution, release planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage Agile execution alongside formal client governance, security controls, release approvals, and delivery reporting expectations.

Tools and Reporting

  • Experience using JIRA, MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar tools for project execution, Agile tracking, dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to maintain dashboards, RAID logs, action registers, wave plans, onboarding trackers, financial trackers, quality metrics, and executive status materials.
  • Strong ability to convert delivery data into concise, decision-oriented reporting for leadership, governance forums, and client stakeholders.

Leadership and Consulting Capabilities

  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, client-facing leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Consulting mindset with the ability to influence, clarify ambiguity, solve problems, and build client confidence from day one.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, adaptability, urgency, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification is required.
  • Agile certification is required, such as Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent.
  • Cloud, DevOps, or application modernization experience or certification is an asset.
