  • Location: Mississauga, ON – Hybrid (Onsite requirements are currently Monday and Tuesdays)
  • Pay Rate: $68.21/hr – $80.54/hr
  • Contract Length: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

  • The position is accountable for supporting vulnerability management, compliance remediation across Enterprise and Business Applications and Patching Cycles. 
  • The role focuses on identifying, investigating, tracking and facilitating the remediation of security vulnerabilities, End-of-Life (EOL) software and compliance related issues in accordance with Security Operations and regulatory requirements
  • This role works closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, deployment teams and security stakeholders to coordinate remediation efforts, implement corrective actions using a variety of tools (MECM, Tachyon) and improve overall compliance posture
  • This role operates as a downstream control function that engages after initial deployment activities have been completed by upstream teams (Deployment, Patching). 
  • The primary focus is to ensure that all identified issues are fully resolved, validated and brought to compliance through investigation, coordination and execution support
  • The role requires strong analytical and investigative skills to assess security findings, determine ownership, identify root causes and support timely remediation
  • In addition, this position Is responsible for maintaining accurate data, producing operational and compliance reporting, developing and maintain documentation and identifying opportunities to automate manual processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability
  • Perform last-mile remediation and validation across deployment, patching & vulnerability management
  • Investigate, assess and coordinate the remediation of application, patching and infrastructure vulnerabilities in accordance with established security standards, controls and objectives
  • Support enterprise deployment and patching activities by validating remediation requirements, tracking progress and assisting stakeholders & application owners with issue resolution
  • Perform analysis of vulnerabilities to determine root cause, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
  • Monitor and manage EOL software (Technology Life Cycle Plans – TLPs) remediation activities, working with application owners and technical teams to reduce security and compliance risks
  • Maintain and improve the accuracy and integrity of the vulnerability, asset and compliance data across enterprise systems and repositories
  • Develop, maintain and enhance reporting to measure compliance, remediation effectiveness, operational performance and risk exposure.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and data analysis techniques to support reporting, trend analysis, data validation and management reporting requirements.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation, procedures, knowledge articles, remediation guides, and operational guides to support team objectives and audit requirements
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks, data collection, reporting processes, and remediation workflows through scripting, tooling and process improvements
  • Review compliance, audit and regulatory requirements and support remediation efforts to ensure adherence to organisational standards.
  • Track, communicate and report remediation status, risks, exceptions and key milestones to stakeholders
  • Produce consolidated compliance reporting, including KPIs, KRIs, risk metrics and operational dashboards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remove remediation blockers and improve end-to-end operational effectiveness
  • Participate in continue learning initiatives to enhance technical, analytical, security and automation related skillsets
  • Manages tickets and drives resolutions
  • Manages and responds to inquiries within the team mailbox in a timely fashion.
  • Raises and tracks deployment issues on a regular basis, removes barriers, resolves issues of varying complexity involving.
  • Vulnerability and TLP remediation.

Must have skills:

  • Expert level proficiency in MECM with 5+ years of hands-on experience including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in software deployment practices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot deployment and collection settings.
  • Strong analytical 
  • Experience working in a large scale financial institution environment 

Nice to have skills:

  • SQL
  • Scripting knowledge. Includes PowerShell, Python, or other relevant languages to automate repetitive deployment tasks and to streamline system configurations.
  • Documentation Writing. Create and update documentation on deployment processes, MECM configuration, and troubleshooting guides.
