Utility
- Pay Rate: $22.40/hour (on W2)
- Contract Length: 6 months
Raise is currently hiring a Utility in Beech Grove, IN on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
Entry-level union position responsible for supporting production operations while maintaining client's safety, food quality, and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Weigh, bag, pack, label, and store product
- Perform housekeeping and sanitation
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, conveyors, pumps, scales, rail/truck loading equipment, and related tools
- Communicate production, quality, maintenance, and safety issues
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- English communication skills
- Production or military experience preferred
Training

- Equipment training (Forklift, JLG, Reach Lift, Non-DOT Truck, etc.)
Working Conditions
- Indoor/outdoor production environment
- Hot/cold temperatures, dust, odors
- Noise above 85 dB (hearing protection required)
- Required PPE including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and other task-specific equipment
- Clean-shaven required for respirator positions
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and squatting
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Lift:
- Up to 40 lbs. frequently
- Up to 55 lbs. occasionally
- Up to 50 lbs. overhead
- Walk up to 2 miles per shift
- Must be able to wear a respirator
