Job Overview
The Project Manager III is responsible for providing advanced management and technical oversight for regional capital and maintenance projects. This role works closely with Area Operations and Technical Staff to optimize facilities, ensure reliable operations, and support cost-effective project execution. The Project Manager III leads projects from planning through commissioning, manages project risks, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical oversight for maintenance and capital projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with cost estimating, budgeting, material bid specifications, and technical evaluations.
- Provide technical support during construction activities and on-site commissioning.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, exposures, and opportunities that may impact project success.
- Monitor project progress and communicate project status, health, and key updates to management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external agencies to support the development, implementation, and completion of capital projects, including regulatory filings, technical responses, and project reporting.
- Contribute to project execution strategies, contractor selection processes, and contractor performance evaluations.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to optimize facility performance and operational reliability.
- Exercise sound technical judgment and decision-making in support of project objectives.
- Prepare and deliver clear, professional reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with client policies, procedures, applicable regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to support project activities and field operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 7–10 years of experience in gas transmission, energy infrastructure, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing maintenance and capital projects in an operational or industrial environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with contractors, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, operational standards, and project execution best practices.
