We're hiring SAT Testing Staff to support upcoming SAT administrations at Hennepin Technical College – Eden Prairie Campus as part of our Fall & Winter 2026 program. This is a flexible, well-paid way to earn extra income while helping students through an important day – a great fit for teachers, substitute teachers, college students, event and hospitality staff, or anyone comfortable helping manage a group in an organized setting.
What You'll Do
Depending on where staffing needs are greatest, you'll be placed in one of these roles:
- Proctor: Manage a testing room: verify student IDs, guide students through instructions, monitor the room, use the required digital tools, and flag any issues to the Test Coordinator.
- Technology Monitor: Help make sure devices are test-ready, troubleshoot basic connectivity issues, and support smooth operations on test day.
- Support (Hall/Room) Monitor: Help with room setup and check-in, keep testing areas organized and distraction-free, direct student traffic, support breaks, and flag concerns to the Test Coordinator.
You'll find out your specific role, campus, and test date once your availability is confirmed – before your required training.
Pay
Every role is paid the same rate.
- Morning-only: $250 guaranteed, 6:30 AM–11:30 AM
- Rate include the required 2-hour on-site training the evening before the exam.
Where & When
Testing takes place at Hennepin Technical College (Eden Prairie).
Upcoming test dates:
- September 12, 2026
- October 3, 2026
- November 7, 2026
- December 5, 2026
Interested in more than one date? Let your recruiter know all the dates and locations that work for you – strong performers may be invited back for future administrations too.
Training Schedule
- Virtual training: 1 hour, scheduled online after you're hired – paid at $25 for your first training session
- On-site training: Required, Friday evening before your test date (typically 5:00–7:00 PM), at your assigned campus
- Test day: Saturday, 6:30 AM sharp arrival
You'll need to be available for all three before you're confirmed for an assignment.
What You'll Need
To apply:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old (Proctors must be 25+)
- Comfortable supporting students and following clear procedures
- Comfortable with basic digital check-in tasks
- Able to stand/walk for 5–6 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally help move desks or chairs
To bring on test day:
- A laptop or tablet that supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
- A smartphone (iOS or Android) with WhatsApp installed – this is how the team communicates on test day
Experience in education, events, testing, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is a plus, but not required – we'll train you on everything.
