Contract Operations Coordinator
- Contract Length: 2 Months, with a possible extension
- Location: Esterhazy, Saskatchewan
- Work Schedule: 9-80 Rotation (Hours per week: 80/ 2 weeks)
Raise is currently hiring a Contract Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Description
The Support Coordinator in this role will be critical in ensuring the seamless coordination of site contractors and supporting K1 Capital work. Reporting to the Ops-Maintenance Superintendent Working, and working closely with the Full-Time Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for infield safety, progress monitoring, and logistical support.
This is a contract position with a specialized focus on the safe and efficient execution of maintenance and capital projects, with a formal re-evaluation scheduled for early Q1 2026.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
• Attend all required morning and afternoon meetings.
• Attend crew start meetings daily.
• Visit ongoing job sites multiple times per shift with a focus on safe execution all tasks.
• Locate and coordinate the movement of parts and equipment as needed.
• Facilitate coordination of scaffold and barricading as needed.
• Provide lock out and lock box support through conversation with operations.
• Provide access and cleaning requests to ensure work is completed in an efficient manner.
• Responsible for infield FLHA/FLRA reviews.
• Infield and prestart TRAP Package reviews and sign off.
• Continuous progress monitoring and report out daily.
• Assist in cost control through tracking of time and crew size per job/day.
• Ensure strict adherence to mosaic lifesaving rules
• Provide QA / QC as required to ensure work is completed and acceptable.
• Any other required tasks to facilitate safe execution of work assignments.
Required
- 3–5 years of experience supporting "shut-down" or "turnaround" environments where coordination of parts and scaffolding is high-pressure.
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, mining, or heavy industry coordination is preferred.
- Experience auditing contractor man-hours and crew sizes against daily progress reports.
- Proven track record of managing equipment movement and site access requests to keep work flowing efficiently.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like SAP or Maximo.
- Knowledge of FLHA (Field Level Hazard Assessment) and TRAP (Task Risk Assessment Process) packages.
- Skills in supervising third-party crews, ensuring they adhere to site-specific "Lifesaving Rules."
- The ability to lead "Crew Start" meetings and influence safety behaviors without being a direct supervisor.
- Education and certifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Industrial Management, or a related Trade Certificate (Journeyman status in a mechanical/electrical trade is highly valued).
- NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or CRSP (Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals) designations are a major plus.
