Construction Coordinator
- Pay Rate: $83.00/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 7 months
- Location: McArthur River Saskatchewan
- Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
- Rotation 2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
- Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
- Contractors are expected to travel to Saskatoon for chartered flights to camp sites.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Construction Coordinator in this role will be a critical field-based role responsible for bridging the gap between engineering, operations, and onsite contractors. Reporting to the Construction Management Team (CMT), your primary objective is to ensure the safe, efficient execution of construction work through meticulous schedule tracking, digital record-keeping, and administrative coordination. This role requires a regular presence at the construction workface to provide real-time support and validation of field activities.
Accoutabilities
- The construction coordinator supports the other members of the construction management team (CMT) with the overall objective of safely and efficiently executing construction work. This is a field-based role with expectation for regular visits to the construction workface to support construction activities.
- Coordinate activities between the CMT, engineering team, contractor and operations as required to ensure construction work can proceed efficiently
- Support members of the CMT and contractor personnel with the use of digital/computer based systems and mobile field devices
- Support the CMT members by logging and tracking action items, keeping digital records and general administrative support as required
- Support the CMT members by liaising with engineering personnel to get answers to RFI etc.
- Conduct a weekly review of construction schedules that are submitted by contractors and coordinate feedback from discipline superintendents within the CMT
- Work with the CMT and contractor to validate claimed schedule progress and raise any discrepancies to the Construction Manager for resolution
- Track and in some cases calculate construction productivity
Qualifications
- 4–9 years of experience in construction coordination or project support, preferably within the industrial, mining, or utility sectors.
- Proven track record in a field-based environment with the ability to navigate active construction workfaces safely.
- Prior experience with SAP (specifically the Planning and Notification modules) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using mobile field devices/tablets for data entry and project tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple administrative streams, from RFI tracking to productivity logging, with high attention to detail.
- Skilled at calculating productivity and identifying schedule variances before they impact the critical path
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively gather feedback from discipline superintendents and communicate requirements to contractors.
- Education and Certifications
- A Trade Certification, Relevant Technical Diploma, or University Degree is considered a strong asset.
