  • Pay Rate: $58.85/hour, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 1 year, with the potential of renewal for another year
  • Location: Burnaby, British Columbia 

Raise is currently hiring a Asset Management System Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, a partnership of 12 municipalities – one Electoral Area and one treaty First Nation. That collaboratively plans for and delivers regional-scale services with its core services being drinking water, wastewater treatment and solid waste management.  

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Asset Management System Analyst in this role will support the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Reconfiguration Project Implementation (Phase 2). The goal of the project is to implement new HxGN EAM solutions based on the design completed in the previous phase (2024). The new solutions will address the pain points our client currently has with its HxGN EAM system. This work will typically be performed on-site at the office

Responsibilities

  • Understand the existing challenges and business requirements related to work management and infrastructure asset management planning using HxGN EAM software system.
  • Document and consolidate improved business processes to streamline work management and infrastructure asset management planning using HxGN EAM.
  • Meet with the Business to collect requirements, present the collected asset data for approval to be uploaded to HxGN EAM.
  • Engage with functional business teams and GIS team to review the collected asset data.
  • Perform requirements analysis and provide configuration documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, data and technical issues.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum and develop User Stories as part of the working team.

This position will work alongside:

  • One project manager
  • One business analyst
  • One system analyst

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience working in IT as Business Analyst or Business System Analyst or System Analyst or Asset Data Analyst in a software system.
  • Familiarity with utility/parks/facility asset data and HxGN EAM or any other similar system
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with project management as well as Agile practices and frameworks.
  • Strong ability to document, analyze and assess business processes, system interactions and to propose consolidated alternative business processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of problem definition and analysis related to business processes and systems planning.
  • Considerable knowledge of information technology components, processes and developments related to the work performed.
  • Considerable knowledge of the functions of departments served and their requirements in information technology.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Certification for Infrastructure Asset Management (e.g. Institute of Asset Management (IAM), Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA), Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC)) is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) designations are an asset

In addition, this position requires the ability to:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts.
  • Provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be given.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
