IT Security Specialist – HPS Software Products

Responsibilities:
• Manage and support PKI infrastructure, certificate management, and cryptographic key lifecycle processes.
• Administer and maintain secure code signing workflows for software products across Windows and Linux platforms.
• Support code signing operations using tools such as OpenSSL and Microsoft Signtool.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, release management, and security teams to implement secure software delivery practices.
• Ensure compliance with secure SDLC standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
• Manage certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, storage, and auditing activities.
• Support manufacturing and software distribution chain-of-custody processes to ensure software authenticity and integrity.
• Assist in defining and improving security controls related to software packaging, signing, and deployment pipelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to certificates, signing infrastructure, and cryptographic operations.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and governance standards related to software security operations.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in IT security, software security, or PKI administration roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o PKI and certificate management
o Code signing processes and tooling
o OpenSSL
o Microsoft Signtool
o Linux and Windows signing workflows
• Experience supporting Secure SDLC and software release security processes.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic key management and lifecycle practices.
• Familiarity with software integrity validation and manufacturing/distribution chain-of-custody controls.
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting software product organizations, embedded systems, or engineering-focused environments.
• Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks related to software security.
• Exposure to automation and CI/CD-integrated security workflows.
• Knowledge of HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) and secrets management solutions is considered an asset.
