Pay: $22.00/hour on W2
Work Type: Onsite – Irvine, CA 92618
Work Schedule: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, with OT as needed
Duration: 12-month contract with a high possibility of extension
Job Overview:
* The Assembler Rework II is an individual contributor responsible for performing advanced manufacturing tasks within their technical specialty. Work must follow all manufacturing documentation, specifications, and allocated timelines.
* The role requires the use of available resources (including conventional and digital tools) and the ability to inspect one's own work.
Primary Responsibilities
* Perform manufacturing operations according to documentation and required timeframes.
* Handle complex unit- and component-level work and rework.
* Select and implement appropriate methods, resources, and procedures.
* Provide support to operators.
* Initiate and manage continuous improvement actions within assigned areas.
* Conduct final inspections as required, following drawings, EOs, and regulatory standards.
Manufacturing Control Activities
* Perform delegated control operations during manufacturing phases.
* Review root cause analyses and propose initial Quality Notification (QN) actions.
* Inspect components, assemblies, and test setups in accordance with design drawings or test procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute complex technical work requiring broad knowledge and initiative in method selection and implementation.
* Identify and escalate issues related to existing methods, tools, and techniques.
* Achieve objectives with mid- and long-term impact on production performance.
* Communicate practices, policies, and domain-specific techniques to production teams.
* Ensure all QN transactions, tasks, and elements are fully completed and signed.
* Coordinate with internal/external customers for product release activities.
* Update reports and whiteboards with escalation items.
* Collaborate with RMA Team Leaders and operators on quality issues.
* Report discrepancies in manufacturing process documentation.
* Raise NCs (Non-Conformances) and CARs (Corrective Action Requests) as needed.
* Maintain build standards and ensure required documentation is up-to-date.
* Prepare and distribute quality reports, tracking charts, and required documentation.
Minimum Requirements:
* High School diploma or Technical School graduate.
* 4 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 3 years in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control department.
* Experience conducting process and/or quality system audits.
* Manual dexterity and ability to follow manufacturing instructions in English.
* At least 1 year of experience with electronic sub-assemblies and system integration.
* Ability to lift 15-30 lbs.
* 3+ years of experience using mechanical inspection tools (calipers, rulers, scales, etc.).
* Experience reading 2D drawings to create inspection reports.
* Prior experience performing process audits and assessments.
