Pay: $36.14/hour on W2
Work Type: 100% Onsite
Location: Orlando, FL
Work Schedule: This role requires a high degree of flexibility for shift rotations.
1. Phase 1 (Initial): 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week.
2. Phase 2: Transition to 10-hour shifts.
3. Phase 3 (Full Schedule): 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Pattern: 4-on/3-off, followed by 3-on/4-off.
• Rotation: Alternating between day and night shifts every 8-10 weeks.
Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension or conversion)

Job Overview:

* The Maintenance Controller is responsible for managing daily aircraft maintenance planning, scheduling, and operational support activities for in-flight systems across a global fleet. This role coordinates closely with maintenance teams and customer representatives to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and adherence to quality standards.
* The position is part of a 24/7 operations team and requires shift-based coverage, including day and night rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage aircraft maintenance records and ensure accurate communication with maintenance teams
* Provide daily updates on aircraft maintenance status, delays, and operational issues
* Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve system discrepancies and technical concerns
* Review and validate technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
* Interpret warranty claims related to workmanship and quality
* Perform system checks and troubleshooting support for onboard systems
* Ensure timely resolution of maintenance logbook discrepancies
* Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders for technical requirements
* Provide clear written and verbal status updates on maintenance activities and installations
* Document maintenance activities and submit reports per established procedures
* Work independently to meet operational goals and timelines
* Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners
* Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
* Escalate unique or complex issues to leadership when necessary

Minimum Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Valid FAA Airframe Certificate (or equivalent) required, or ability to obtain within 18 months
* 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience, or equivalent specialized experience
* Ability to read and interpret structural and electrical drawings
* Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 21, 121, and 145)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must pass a 7-year background check and drug screening
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge
* Valid driver’s license required
* Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

* FAA Powerplant Certificate (or in progress within 18 months)
* Associate’s degree in Maintenance Management or related field
* Previous experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Controller
* Experience with avionics systems, including cabling and wiring
* Familiarity with Boeing, Airbus, or Embraer aircraft platforms
