Shop Assistant
Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Location: Onsite – Lafayette, LA 70508
Work Schedule: 9-hour/day | Five days a week
Duration: 2-year contract with possible extension/conversion based on performance and other factors.
Raise is currently hiring a Shop Assistant on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Provides labor and semiskilled support to service supervisors, operators, specialists, mechanics, or repairers in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Drive hot-shot equipment as required.
- Start and monitor designated equipment.
- Perform routine rig-up or clean-up labor at the well site or at the warehouse/service center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record for the operation of company vehicles.
- Proven experience or the ability to be certified in operating heavy machinery, specifically a forklift.
- Parts knowledge is a plus, including the ability to identify, source, and verify correct components for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
- Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate inventory software, log maintenance data, and manage digital communications.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared operational goals.
