Technical Business Analyst
- Pay Rate: $77 – 95.85/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a Technical Business Analyst on behalf of our client. Our Client, a leading global provider of crop inputs and services. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, complex organization supporting an active infrastructure and application migration initiative.
The successful candidate will play a key role in consolidating and validating technical data, supporting application and infrastructure migration activities, and developing Power BI reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will support an active infrastructure and application migration program by transforming information from multiple legacy Excel sources into a clean, reliable, and centralized Master Data File.
The Master Data File will serve as the authoritative source of truth for infrastructure planning, identity and access management, application migration, milestone tracking, dependency management, and program reporting.
A significant component of the role involves reviewing application inventories and documenting the server or hosting environment associated with each application. You will work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, business representatives, and technical subject-matter experts to identify missing information, resolve inconsistencies, and validate application-to-server relationships.
This information will directly support migration sequencing and IAM readiness. Identity, authentication, and access dependencies must be understood and addressed before applications are migrated to new server environments to help maintain secure access and business continuity.
You will also leverage the consolidated dataset to design and build Power BI dashboards that provide clear and reliable reporting for project leadership, technical teams, and business users. Reporting will include milestone tracking, workstream progress, dependencies, ownership, risks, and a centralized lookup capability that allows business users to quickly identify the applications, infrastructure components, functional areas, and activities they own.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate data from multiple Excel sources into a standardized Master Data File.
- Cross-reference, reconcile, cleanse, and validate application and infrastructure information.
- Establish and maintain the Master Data File as the authoritative source for project reporting.
- Map applications to associated servers, hosting environments, functional areas, business owners, and technical owners.
- Identify missing, conflicting, outdated, or incomplete records and drive them toward resolution.
- Engage application owners, infrastructure teams, business representatives, and technical SMEs to gather and validate information.
- Document application, infrastructure, identity, access, and migration dependencies.
- Support migration planning by helping establish appropriate sequencing for applications, servers, IAM activities, and related milestones.
- Define consistent data standards, ownership fields, status definitions, and reporting requirements.
- Design and build Power BI dashboards using data collected and maintained through the Master Data File.
- Develop dashboards that track milestones, progress, risks, dependencies, ownership, and overall workstream status.
- Create a centralized business-facing lookup dashboard that allows users to filter and view information by functional area, application, owner, workstream, server, milestone, or status.
- Ensure dashboard information is accurate, intuitive, and traceable to the underlying source data.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical dashboard views and measures.
- Maintain clear documentation of decisions, assumptions, data definitions, outstanding actions, and reporting logic.
- Investigate data and information gaps independently and work proactively to resolve outstanding issues.
- Provide clear status updates, reporting insights, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of data management, reporting, and migration tracking processes.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, Systems Analyst, or similar role in infrastructure, application migration, IAM, or enterprise reporting.
- Strong experience gathering, validating, reconciling, and documenting data across technical and business teams.
- Solid understanding of applications, servers, infrastructure, IAM, authentication, and migration dependencies.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data reconciliation, and Power Query.
- Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling, dashboards, visualization, filtering, drill-downs, and report design.
- Working knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
- Experience building operational and executive dashboards from multiple data sources.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable reporting and maintain a reliable source of truth.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, authentication/SSO, IAM, and application-to-server relationships.
- Knowledge of application and server migration dependencies, sequencing, and validation.
- Ability to understand and translate technical data into meaningful Power BI reports and dashboards.
