Join Enbridge’s Asset Management Governance team and help strengthen how asset management is integrated across Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS).
  • Reporting to the Supervisor, Asset Management Governance, the Governance Specialist, Asset Management supports the GDS Asset Management Program by coordinating governance activities, reporting, business analysis, process development, and integration activities across concurrent initiatives and asset classes. The role works with business and technical stakeholders to define needs, document requirements, improve processes, manage interdependencies, and support the implementation and continuous improvement of asset management practices within the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and maintain the GDS Asset Management Assurance Plan, including associated corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of GDS assurance tools, processes, procedures, and Copperleaf job aids.
  • Apply business analysis practices to elicit, validate, prioritize, and document business, process, data, and functional requirements from stakeholders across GDS.
  • Translate business needs into clear process maps, business requirements, user stories, decision points, acceptance criteria, and implementation recommendations that are practical, traceable, and aligned with asset management objectives.
  • Assess current-state processes, identify gaps, risks, integration points, and improvement opportunities, and design fit-for-purpose future-state processes with clear roles, controls, handoffs, and measures.
  • Plan and facilitate requirements of gatherings, stakeholder interviews, working sessions, and process reviews to build shared understanding, resolve issues, and confirm requirements and outcomes.
  • Support asset management integration across business units, functions, asset classes, systems, and enterprise initiatives by aligning processes, data, governance requirements, and accountabilities.
  • Coordinate asset management integration activities, dependencies, readiness requirements, and transition actions, including support for new business units, jurisdictions, systems, and operating practices entering the GDS Asset Management Program.
  • Partner with business, operations, engineering, technology, data, finance, and governance teams to ensure solutions are aligned with asset management policy, regulatory obligations, IMS requirements, and business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, requirements traceability, procedures, standards, templates, job aids, and decision records that support implementation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Provide clear status, progress, risk, issue, and decision reporting to working teams and senior management, including Quarterly Management Reviews.
  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve the Asset Management SharePoint site, including content organization, document control, and access permissions.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on technical and complex matters related to policy, procedures and practice. Develop, execute and maintain fit-for-purpose change management and communication plans.
  • Support the planning, facilitation, and completion of business unit and Enterprise Asset Management maturity assessments and other enterprise-led assurance activities.
  • Support the development, implementation, monitoring, and measurement of asset management performance metrics and benefits.
  • Support onboarding, role clarity, and ongoing engagement of subject matter experts and stakeholders within the asset management ecosystem.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain fit-for-purpose change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and communication plans.
  • Serve as the designated Management of Change coordinator for the Asset Management Program and support IMS and records administration.

Who you are:

  • A related university degree with five or more years of relevant experience, or six or more years of field operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive experience in asset management, business analysis, program management, governance, process improvement, project planning, change management, or business initiative coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, conducting current-state and future-state analysis, developing process maps, and translating stakeholder needs into implementable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, identify gaps and dependencies, evaluate options, and develop clear recommendations that support management decision-making.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional integration work and aligning processes, requirements, data, governance, and accountability across teams or business units.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear requirements, process documentation, executive-ready presentations, reports, and decision materials.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, with strong document management skills.
  • Strong relationship management, collaboration, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, and listening skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, resolve ambiguity, and move work forward through practical, results-oriented leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate meetings, requirements of workshops, process design sessions, and training.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, interdependencies, and deliverables while maintaining quality.
  • Experience supporting changes to organizational processes, procedures, systems, or operating practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Enbridge Gas or utility core business functions
  • Energy or utility industry experience in asset management, business analysis, engineering, project management or change management,
  • Knowledge of asset management principles, governance frameworks, lifecycle planning, risk-based decision-making, and performance management.
  • Experience with business process modelling, requirements management, continuous improvement, or related business analysis methods.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integration, operating model changes, system implementations, or process standardization across multiple business areas.
  • Experience working with senior management and executive audiences.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Copperleaf, or other asset management and portfolio planning tools.
  • Business analysis, change management, process improvement, project management, or asset management certification.
