Accounting Clerk
- Pay Rate: $26.17/hour (on W2)
- Contract Length: 6 Months
- Location: Onsite | Warren, MI 48089
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9.00 AM – 5.00 PM (40.00 Hrs/Wk)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview
This position will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for preparing packages to interface with internal clients. Packages will include invoices, time sheets, bid packages, and several other documents associated with specific financial projects. In addition, this position will support various PeopleSoft accounting transactions and Transportation Invoices for Haulers.
Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile various transactions
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing financial data
- Review and process PeopleSoft Quick Invoices to receiving paperwork
- Follow up/meet to clarify billing and invoice questions
- Monthly reconciliations of all Transportation Invoices
- Build and maintain records of receipts
- Documenting and maintaining packages for financial projects
- Maintain monthly close timetable to assist in meeting reporting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing shifting priorities.
- Participate and/or manage projects as assigned to meet deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Associates degree required
- 2-5 years experience
- Strong Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required
- Experience with QuickBooks – Online or Enterprise
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel-Pivot tables, v-lookups, Word, Outlook) and internet savvy
- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail
- Superior written and oral communications
- Familiarity with Inventory management
- Modeling and report generation
