Have questions about Raise?
Frequently asked questions about working with us.
Raise is a people-first recruitment company. We connect people with contract and permanent opportunities in North America and across the globe.
What makes us different is our human approach. Every candidate and contractor works with real recruiters and receives consistent communication throughout the hiring process and then while on assignment. We’re committed to treating you as a whole person — not just a resume, or a transaction.
No, there is never a cost to work with Raise.
As a staffing firm, our clients pay us to recruit and support talent on their behalf. There is no fee to apply, interview, or accept an assignment through Raise.
There are two ways to apply:
- Browse our current job opportunities and apply directly.
- If you don’t see a role that fits but would like to be considered for future opportunities, you can sign up for job alerts. Our team will reach out if a role aligns with your skills and experience.
Accessibility is a core part of our commitment to equity. If you require accommodation at any stage of the process, click here.
We work with many companies across North America, and some require a personal identification number (PIN) to submit your application.
In some cases, this PIN is created using partial information such as:
- Part of your Social Security Number
- Your initials
- Part of your date of birth
We only request partial details — never full sensitive information — to create a secure, unique identifier.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information
At Raise, you’re more than a resume — you’re a person with goals, priorities, and a career path that matters.
Here’s what makes working with us different:
- Human-first recruitment – All hiring decisions are made by real recruiters who take the time to understand your experience and career goals.
- Consistent communication – We prioritize transparency and timely updates throughout the hiring process.
- Dedicated support on assignment – If you start a contract, you’ll have a clear point of contact for payroll and ongoing support.
- Access to meaningful opportunities – We partner with leading organizations across industries, including opportunities where you’ll be hired directly by our client’s team
- No cost to you – Companies hire us to find talent, so there is never a fee to apply or work with Raise.
Our goal is simple: connect people to meaningful work and support them every step of the way.
We receive thousands of applications every day.
If your skills, experience, and expectations align with the role, the recruitment team supporting that client will contact you by phone, email, or text.
In some cases, you may first hear from our Automated Recruitment Agent, which helps us quickly gather basic information such as your availability, notice period, location details, or pay expectations. This allows our human recruiters to focus on meaningful conversations with qualified candidates and respond more efficiently overall.
All hiring decisions are made by our recruitment team — not AI.
We aim to respond as thoughtfully and efficiently as possible to every applicant.
In contingent and contract staffing, it’s standard practice for job ads not to include the client company’s name. If you’re selected to move forward in the hiring process, we’ll share the company name and full details.
For some roles, the client name is listed in our job posting. In these partnerships, Raise operates as an extension of the company’s talent team, and the opportunities are branded accordingly.
Raise supports a range of job placements. These include:
- Contract roles – Short- or long-term assignments with defined durations from a couple of months to a couple of years
- Contract-to-hire – Roles that may transition into permanent employment based on performance and business needs
- Permanent placements
We work across a variety of industries and a wide range of job categories, including IT, engineering, operations, supply chain, professional services, finance, corporate support, and more.
Each job posting clearly outlines the employment type so you know what to expect before applying.
You’ll typically have one primary recruiter leading your process, but behind the scenes, a team will support your application.
Your primary recruiter will guide you through resume refinement, interview prep, and provide updates. If you move forward and begin an assignment, you’ll also have a dedicated Contractor Success Representative for onboarding and ongoing support related to pay, timesheets and benefits.

In some cases, we may use an Automated Recruitment Agent to collect basic information such as interview availability, notice period, location, or pay expectations. This allows us to gather key details quickly so that approved candidates can have more focused and productive conversations with our recruiters.
These tools help us respond to more applicants — but final decisions are always made by people.
Yes. Raise has team members in Canada, the United States, Ghana, the Philippines, and India.
Every team member is a direct Raise employee — this is not an outsourced service. We’ve built a global team intentionally to better serve candidates and clients with extended coverage and responsiveness.
Our offshore model allows us to stay highly communicative and efficient while maintaining quality and personal service.
Pay schedules depend on the specific assignment and client requirements. Most contract roles are paid weekly or bi-weekly. Your recruiter or Contractor Success Representative will confirm your pay schedule before your assignment begins.
Overtime policies depend on the client and assignment. If overtime is approved, it will be paid in accordance with applicable labor laws and client guidelines.
We offer a comprehensive list of benefits. These vary depending on the assignment type and eligibility requirements. We will review available benefits with you before your start date.
Time-off policies depend on the client and the assignment. If you need time away, please inquire with us.
Every Raise contractor has a dedicated point of contact, your Contractor Success Representative. Our team provides ongoing support for onboarding, payroll, documentation, assignment questions, and general check-ins throughout your contract.
We believe communication shouldn’t stop after your first day.
If your contract is ending, we aim to support your transition — whether that means pursuing an extension, converting to a permanent role (if applicable), or exploring new opportunities with Raise.
Many assignments have the potential for extension based on performance and client needs. We will communicate any extension opportunities.
Some roles can convert to full-time. We will always keep you informed.
If circumstances change, speak with your Raise representative as soon as possible. We’ll work with you and the client to manage the situation professionally.
Your trust is extremely important to us. We are transparent about how we use personal information and always seek permission before submitting your profile to a client.
Our Privacy Policy outlines how we safeguard your data and protect your privacy.
For roles based in the United States or Canada, candidates must already be legally authorized to work in those countries. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for these positions.
We love feedback. Please visit our Contact page to share your experience or email hello@raiserecruiting.com. Your input helps us continuously improve how we support candidates and contractors. You may also provide feedback to your Contractor Success Representative at any time.
