Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.   

 

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Reporting Advisor to support data-driven decision-making through advanced reporting, business analysis, and performance measurement. This role will leverage data analytics, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions to uncover trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable insights that support operational and strategic objectives.
  • The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and communication skills, enabling them to translate complex data into meaningful recommendations for stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities that support informed decision-making.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business challenges and operational requirements to generate meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that drive performance improvements.
  • Support statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and root cause analysis initiatives to evaluate business performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations that provide clear and actionable business insights.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain queries, reports, and datasets using a variety of reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms and business processes.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or five years of field, operational, or work management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Tableau, SPSS, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to support business objectives.
    • Proven ability to create meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that drive business insights.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
    • Strong issue resolution, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
    • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
    • Minimum 5+ years drafting experience in the oil and gas industry
    • Demonstrated experience working across multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation)
    • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (additional tools such as Revit considered an asset)
    • Experience developing and updating P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings
    • Ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, and project documentation
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Ability to work independently in a contract/remote or distributed team environment
  • Preferred:
    • Experience supporting Operations, Customer Care, Engineering, Asset Management, or similar business functions.
    • Understanding of work management systems, asset management systems, and associated business processes.
    • Experience with business performance measurement and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Six Sigma certification or related process improvement credentials are considered an asset.
    • Knowledge of predictive analytics, data modeling, and advanced reporting methodologies.
