These roles focus on ensuring the health, reliability, and performance of critical plant systems across large-scale facilities. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex systems, improving reliability, and working closely with operations and maintenance teams—this is for you.
What You’ll Work On
As a Systems / Plant Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of critical infrastructure systems. You will:
- Act as the technical owner for assigned plant systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation
- Monitor system performance using data trends, KPIs, and condition-based monitoring tools
- Investigate system issues, equipment failures, and abnormal operating conditions
- Lead or support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize maintenance strategies
- Support system modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and internal procedures
- Prepare technical reports, system health updates, and documentation
Must-Have Skills
- 3–8+ years of experience in systems engineering, plant engineering, or operations support
- Experience in power generation, utilities, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (operations, maintenance, engineering)
- Ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and system documentation
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in nuclear or regulated environments
- Background in reliability engineering, asset management, or maintenance planning
- Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies (RCA, FMEA, etc.)
- Exposure to system monitoring tools, CMMS, or asset management systems
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility
