Senior Operations First Line Supervisor
- Pay Rate: $90.00 – $98.00/hour (on W2)
- Contract Length: 5 months

Overview
- We are seeking an experienced ABSA First Class Power Engineer to take on a dual-role position combining hands-on technical operations with first-line supervisory leadership.
- This role involves overseeing daily plant operations while leading a team of approximately 8–10 personnel.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety in an industrial environment.
- This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with every second Friday off, averaging 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant systems as a First-Class Power Engineer, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Supervise and lead a team of 8–10 staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight.
- Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, work allocation, and ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and verify that all team members maintain required safety certifications.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to meet production and operational goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to plant operations and personnel performance.
Qualifications
- ABSA First Class Power Engineer certification (required)
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in industrial operations
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas preferred; Power Generation experience also considered
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of plant operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Valid and current safety certifications prior to start, including:
- First Aid
- H2S Alive (or equivalent)
- Ability to manage both technical and leadership responsibilities effectively
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite (company transportation provided onsite)
