Payroll & Purchasing Coordinator
- Pay Rate: $40.00 – $47.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 7 months
- Location: Spring, TX, 77389 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Main Functions
- Working with managers to validate vendor timesheets and invoices for approval.
- Opening and managing POs for third party services.
- Striving for process improvement.
- Role is 70% payrolling, 30% invoicing
Responsibilities
- Processes a queue of requisitions and converts to purchase orders on a daily basis.
- Collects written proposals from vendors as needed.
- Conducts simple negotiations of pricing and general terms & conditions.
- Addresses invoice discrepancies from the purchase order or the goods receipt and approves invoice payment for any additional freight costs not accounted for on purchase order.
- Liaises with the strategic buyer regarding project or turnaround purchases and potential bundles
- Provides support to ensure timely invoice payment.
- Handles any PO (purchase order) maintenance for orders processed (e.g. update PO text, update delivery date, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- SAP, Outlook, and Sharepoint
- Interpersonal communication – working with global managers and engineers
- 5+ years payrolling and invoicing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Background with implementing process improvement
