Job Overview
The Project Controls Coordinator (PCC) supports the client’s Project Controls and Project Management teams by providing accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and schedule analysis for construction projects. This role focuses on field cost analysis, ensuring that project performance is effectively monitored through earned value management, schedule validation, and financial reporting. The PCC plays a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring timely and accurate project reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily LEMS processes to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Maintain and update cost data within the EcoSys cost management system
- Validate schedule progress, including percentage complete and actual/forecasted start and finish dates, in coordination with contractors on a weekly basis
- Analyze project costs and maintain accurate forecasts, including forecasting at completion
- Assist with and support the project change management process
- Provide timely and accurate cost and schedule information to the assigned Project Controls Analyst
- Prepare and issue weekly construction progress reports
- Contribute to earned value management reporting and performance analysis
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between cost and schedule data
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant industry experience in project controls, cost analysis, or a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong expertise in Excel
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Working knowledge of earned value management principles
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s abstract required due to travel to field sites for project support
