Human Resources Specialist – Total Rewards & HR Systems

Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards
- Administer employee benefits programs, including pension eligibility, LTIP, Basic Life Insurance, annual payouts, vacation accruals, and union credits.
- Manage compensation reviews and job evaluation requests.
- Support job evaluation processes and maintain compensation records.
HR Systems (HCMS / Oracle Fusion)
- Support the implementation and rollout of Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management System (HCMS).
- Document current and future HR business processes and workflows.
- Assist with HRIS system testing, data validation, quality assurance, and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes.
- Work with ADP and HRIS systems to support HR operations.
HR Reporting & Administration
- Produce weekly headcount reports and recurring HR metrics.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports.
- Coordinate internal and external reporting requirements.
- Maintain HR data accuracy and organizational charts.
- Support master position reporting and monthly reconciliation with Finance.
- Respond to audit requests and maintain supporting documentation.
- Monitor the HR mailbox and respond to employee inquiries.
- Process HR documentation including Employee Action Forms and leave administration.
- Support invoice processing and accounts receivable activities.
- Manage monthly Short-Term Sickness Plan (STSP) reporting.
Project & Stakeholder Support
- Coordinate HR projects and reporting initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance, Health & Safety, Talent Acquisition, and leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with HR legislation, organizational policies, and data governance standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong background in HR Operations, Total Rewards, Benefits Administration, and HR Reporting.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP.
- Oracle Fusion HCMS experience is considered a strong asset.
- CHRL designation (or working toward certification) is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, Dashboards, Macros, Data Analysis).
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- HRIS systems (ADP, Oracle Fusion, or similar).
- HR reporting and analytics.
- Data validation and quality assurance.
